The Florida hunting trip was very engaging with veteran to veteran time. By far the best non-profit veteran organization trip I’ve ever had a chance to participate in. Very low-key, and not trying to advertise veterans for profit.

It was good to feel normal again, just be myself, and in an intimate setting. Guys who had not fired a weapon for a long time, fire one and start to heal. Others who normally don’t talk, begin to do just that with people who understand them.

The five days at camp was amazing! I’ve been hunting a long time, but never hunted hogs the way we did. It was an adrenaline rush. When I shot my first turkey it was the most excited I’ve been in a long time.
